Sit or Stand is an inspirational book that will empower and challenge its readers. The book is written in a testimonial fashion by author and inspiration list, Cory George. George touches on sensitive issues that happened in his own life, such as sexual abuse, low self esteem and unforgiveness. Also he deals with issues such as growing up in a dysfunctional family with habits such as drug addicts and how it effects those around the abuser. I enjoy the frankness and realness in the pages of his book. You can tell he is speaking from the heart in a way to inspire others to reach beyond their limitations in order to pursue their owns. Not filled with a lot of philosophical jargon and such but written in a down to earth tone, readers will feel as though they are sitting at the table with George having a every day conversation.

Each chapter of the book ends with interactive activities that one can do self evaluations on after reading the chapters. It' s a step by step guide to one achieving self fulfillment, physically, emotionally and mentally. I feel George did an excellent job in reaching within his soul and pouring it out to his readers, letting them know in their journey of healing from past pains and pursuing self-love they are not alone.
